Present moment

Mindfulness brings you to the present moment, allowing you to experience life here and now, however good or bad it is. Is it lack of rumination about old events, which is living in the past.

It is also the cessation of waiting for the better tomorrow – when I graduate, get a promotion, when I retire, when kids go to school, then I start living… This is living in the future. Mindfulness is being here and now, accepting things for what they are, but choosing the way they affect you.
