Less pollution, more health

Organic farming does not use chemical fertilizers, which means that it does not contribute to global warming. Chemical fertilizers contain minerals which plants need for their nutrition. They also contain nitrogen, which combines with oxygen once it has access to the air and converts into nitrous oxide (N2O) one of the top greenhouse gases, which is 300 times stronger than CO2. Commercial agriculture is one of the top contributors to global warming.

Organic farming reduces soil erosion, ensures healthy and fertile soils, which give nutritious food without contributing to global warming. It doesn’t cause adverse health effects to people and does not harm ecosystems, quite the opposite – organic farming encourages the flourishing of biodiversity on which it also depends.
