Used for frontal brain cleansing, this breath is very stimulating and helps to awaken creativity. This breath can be used before the start of yoga practice, to warm the body from inside, or in the morning, to stimulate lungs, purify them and awaken to a more fresh and alert state of mind.

There are a few more pranayama types, however, we are not diving here into them. Be cautious when using pranayama without any guidance and check with your doctor if you have heart or respiratory disease before applying any of the techniques. Ideally, find an experienced yoga practitioner for supervision and proper guidance.
