How to practice vipassana

Vipassana, as a full 10-days retreat, is recommended to be taken every year. It is also a requirement for certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction practitioners. But before you decide on this step, try to introduce mini-silent retreats at your home conditions. We have planned such a thing as one of the practices in the last course, so schedule a day for this before you take the course.

If you have commitments that require your full presence, schedule such a day the next available day after the program is finished. You can plan just half a day or even 5 hours, but you can have no distractions or interactions then. Maybe going into nature or traveling alone to a nearby vacation house could be helpful if your finance allows it.
