Chronic stress

When cortisol keeps high levels for a longer period, you enter chronic stress, a dangerous and damaging situation, which is just a step away from depression. Unfortunately, stressors can’t be entirely eliminated, and the events which cause cortisol spikes are part of everyone’s daily life. But there are ways to experience less stress or be less affected by the events that cause it, even in the same settings. 

In this course you will be learning more about the essence of stress, to understand how it works, what does it do to your body and mind as well as how to reduce (or eliminate) its damaging effects with mindfulness. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) are 8-weeks programs that focus on mindfulness to manage stress, and they prove to be extremely effective, for which they are chosen more and more often to complement or substitute depression treatment and help with other illnesses. 

We implement some of these practices and aid the course with more to help you create a nice balance.
