How essential oils work

When aromatherapy is used as inhalation (burning the oils, taking a bath or smelling a cloth soaked with the oils), the scents get into your body through the sense of smell, causing stimulating properties.

How aromatherapy works

The scent molecules travel down your throat to finally get to the lungs, where they get absorbed into the system, demonstrating healing properties. Because smell is exceptionally stimulating, your nervous system also gets affected, engaging the mind. That’s why essential oils can bring relaxation or mental stimulation.

Because of their mind-stimulating properties, essential oils are perfect for sense awakening and improving mindful awareness.
