How composting works

Composting turns organic waste in nutrient-rich, full of beneficial microbes “food” for soil. When compost is added to the soil on which later edible plants are grown, these plants have higher nutritional value for us. Moreover, farmers who grow pants on organic soil with organic fertilizer usually do not add chemical fertilizers, which is an additional benefit for the soil, planet, and the plants.

Chemical fertilizers make the soil less productive, release toxins to the environment, pollute entire ecosystems, and reduce the nutritional profile of the produce, replacing it with toxic residual. This, of course, has an effect on our health, when we eat the food grown this way.
