Humans affect the natural self-regulation of the planet through medication. In a way, we artificially alter our state, live longer than before, and have higher survival rates because of the developments in technology and medicine.
What’s more, synthetic compounds that we learned to make and use for medicinal purposes, do not dissolve in our body. After getting out of body, these compounds join the wider ecosystems and circulate in it, affecting water life and life on Earth, as well as contaminating the air.
In this course we dive deeper in all of the topics mentioned in this lesson and find possible solutions to each.
