The design incorporates all 12 principles of Permaculture, which you learned about in the Module on Environmental Psychology. The principles highlight the diversity of the plants grown on the same area, ensuring high productivity from relatively condensed space, without stressing the soil. The structure protects the plants on lower levels from excessive heat, while provides enough sunlight to fruit trees, ensuring their healthy growth

Seasonal plants, located on lower levels, stay in the soil after they are harvested, serving as a natural soil fertilizer when they start decomposing, ensuring the land remains fertile. All this is created with permaculture community or volunteers, as a collective effort. Food forests would be a great addition to cities, maintained by volunteers and communities. This could build a new level of society – the society that we need to save our world!
