Environment and Stress

GAS is kicked off by stress that you experience. It is, therefore, vital to stress less to stay healthy. Climate change can serve as several types of stressors (we discuss it in the next lesson) and here you have a few options on how to act.

First, we can reduce the external stressors to let the body adapt (e.g., to reverse climate change).

Second, you can adapt to the stressor as a new condition, which is normal rather than dangerous (danger causes stress, neuroplasticity can facilitate adaptation).

Lastly, you can change our perception of stress, so that it does not affect you anymore (mindfulness and equanimity are what can help with it).
