Drinking water

Underground freshwater reserves, the source of drinking water for many places, risk being contaminated with salty water from rising sea levels. Salty water isn’t drinkable. This means that when access to the water source which we rely on for our lives is turning salty, we need to turn to water desalination, an expensive process, which may prove difficult to implement on a larger scale.
