Consumption growth

Not only our total, but average consumption per person is also growing. Whereas in the developed world we can expect that people will cut down on their lifestyle due to a better understanding of the consequences, developing countries will become more developed, which would drive the demand for goods they never had access to. Developing countries are also the ones driving population growth.

And all the people in developing countries deserve to experience the lifestyle we had the privilege to have all these centuries. We can say, there’s a moral obligation from the developed world to ensure the comfort of living to poorer nations, in the end, they experienced years of repression and exploitation and were contributing to wealth-building of the richer countries, without possibility to try the fruits of this wealth.
