Biodiesel is one type of biofuel that you already learned is not green at all.

Firstly, burning forests to make more space to grow crops for biodiesel reduces carbon sinks (forests) and releases stored CO2 when trees are cut.

To produce enough biofuel to replace fossil fuels fully, we’d need to cut all the woods and resign from some food crops, which is not sustainable.

Moreover, biofuels emit black carbon, which with the increased use of biodiesels would also become more saturated in the atmosphere.
