Artificial carbon sinks

climate justice example

People learned how to capture carbon dioxide from burning the fossil fuels. But once carbon is captured, it needs to go somewhere – it can’t be kept in a barrel or a box. People make use of the natural carbon sinks, mainly soil, to bury carbon. After this, it becomes an artificial carbon sink, since soil didn’t absorb this carbon naturally.
