Are your goals SMART?

You can apply SMART framework to any goal, but here let’s consider an example of weight loss. SMART goal could look something like this:

To reduce my weight (Specific) by 5 kg (Measurable) with the help of food habits modification (Attainable) and exercising three times a week (Relevant) by the end of the 8th week starting from now (Time-bound).

In place of Relevant you can also use Realistic. Whether you want to get a shredded body or increase your muscle mass by 5 kgs, you should set a realistic time frame for that. The change cannot happen overnight, so make sure you don’t set unattainable time which could only discourage you.
