Being in a state of prolonged stress or anxiety, the organism feels exhausted. On top of tiredness, you can experience insomnia, infections and mental fatigue as well as hyperactivity or hyperarousal. Stress also has a massive influence on how you eat: some people eat more, others have a total loss of appetite.

But the most important – stress damages your immune system, because of the hormone called cortisol.
